lived in south ockendon for the last 38 years bur orignally came from city road old street area london .
much loved dad brother grandad and great grandad.
passed away with all his family round him sadly on wensday 16 april 2008 .
he loved his jazz music and love to wind up all his granchildren and play with them. in his younger days he liked going out for a pint with his brother ernie around the country pubs . he liked to shop and go to markets to look for a bargin .

This is my poem I wrote for you.
I miss Nanny Mill, and now I’ll miss you
I fill such sadness, it don’t feel right.
I will think of you every morning and every night.
I remember the train rides up to Southend
You joked about Milko and Elliot, my imaginary friends
With shovels in hand, we would have so such fun.
Digging up you garden all day in the sun.
We said sorry grandad for making a mess
But you just laughed “don’t worry, I couldn’t care less”
I would love to go back, for just one more play
To care for your plants, to the end of the day
Smelly kippers at breakfast, but we didn’t mind
To all you grandchildren, you were funny and kind
Back with our nanny looking down from above
Miss you grandad, your kindness and your love
If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane
I d walk right up to heaven and bring you home again
I love you my granddad
I’m really gonna miss you

my nan who loved to dance and make to the costums for the local dance school and make all us granchildren fancy dress outfits and vests and lovly dresses.
she made every one laught and was loved by everyone there was not one single person that didnt like her.
i was only little when u passed away but i can rember how much fun we had with you makeing mud pies in the kitchen at the farm .
also rideing our shetlands trixie and bam bam . getting on one side and back off the other .
every one loved you and still does and misses you loads .
